A through-hole pogo pin solders into a plated hole for a strong mechanical anchor. The right pin depends on your board thickness, current, working height, and plating. Use the steps below to spec it before requesting samples.

1. Match the pin length to your board and stack. Our through-hole pins run 1.45 mm to 18 mm long. Pick a length that seats in the hole and reaches the mating surface at working height. Send your board thickness and stack for a fit check.
2. Set the working height for reliable compression. Working height ranges from 1.07 mm to 14.5 mm. Spec the height where the pin holds firm contact without bottoming out. We’ll model the travel against your mating gap.
3. Choose the current rating for your power path. Through-hole pins carry 0.2A to 5A. Match the rating to your peak load and leave headroom. We widen the barrel and plating when your design needs more.
